The SCCH uses a pricing structure with 4 tiers to better support the local community, the Sierra City Fire Department and the SCCH.

Group 1

  • Fire Auxiliary, Fire Dept., and Fire Prevention / Safety Events

No charge, please follow protocol for Security Deposit refunds **

Group 2

  • Events that are hosted by local community members, for the local community. Examples include: Memorials, School Functions, and Fund Raisers for the Community. Most meetings use Group 3.

Cleaning Fee & Security Deposit

*$150 Cleaning Fee (non refundable) This is used to cover the cost of cleaning immediately following your event as well as to help cover the cost of occasional deep cleaning and the maintenance cleaning that occurs during periods of less use.

** Up to $500 Refundable Cleaning & Security Deposit. The size of the deposit is determined by the scale of the event. This is 100% refundable if: the kitchen is left clean; dishes have been washed, dried and put away; tables & chairs are put away; garbage is condensed in the garbage cans or bags that are available at the hall; no leftovers or decorations are left behind; all fans and lights are off; all doors and windows are closed and locked, the key is returned to the lockbox and no more than “normal” cleaning is required. Extremely important during the winter months: The thermostat must be turned down to 45 degrees, which is not all the way off. The dial will easily stop at 45 degrees if you don’t try to turn it all the way to OFF. In the event that replacements, repairs or additional cleaning is needed following the rental, those costs will be deducted from the deposit or charged to the “Responsible Party”.

Larger events will also require an Insurance Rider naming Sierra City Fire Department as payee.

Policies

Bring any disposable dishes, cups, etc. that you will need, there are none available for renters’ use at the SCCH.

Parking for events at the SCCH is located on Main Street. There is an unmarked drop off zone at the main entrance for handicap guests and efficient loading/unloading of supplies.

There is no outdoor space associated with the Community Hall except at the front entrance.

The SCCH is located in a residential area, please respect the neighbors. All surrounding property is privately owned and should not be trespassed upon by anyone. Children need to be under direct supervision at all times.

No Smoking, BBQs, etc. in or around the SCCH

No flames of any sort including candles

No silly string, confetti, helium balloons or anything difficult to contain or clean

Quiet hours begin at 11:00 p.m.

By 12:00 a.m. the SCCH needs to be cleaned as per the instructions available in the SCCH and all persons must have left the premises.

No overnight use

Cancellations

Written cancellation notice given 30 days or more prior to rental dates will receive a full refund.

Written cancellation notice given with less than 30 days notice will receive a refund minus a $50 cancellation fee.*

*Written cancellation notice provided with less than 5 days notice will not receive a refund.
